A meltdown in a sensory child occurs when there is a disturbance in at least one of the five senses- sight (color or light), sound (too loud or irritating a noise), taste, smell, and touch. A visually sensitive child will find it extremely painful to see a bright light. Such children’s eyes are also oversensitive to sunlight. Sunglasses can be a good tool to help such children cope with the condition. It would cut down the glare and provide some relief to their eyes.
